Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Birth details. To calculate a Moon sign, we process the birth date, optional birth time, and birth place (converted to geographic coordinates and a time zone) you or someone you're checking compatibility with enters. This data is used only to perform the astronomical calculation.

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you use Google or Apple Sign In, the basic profile information those providers share with us (typically name and email).

2. What we don't require

Your solo Moon profile and your first compatibility check work with zero account and zero signup. Birth details for a free check are used to compute a result in your browser session and are not stored on our servers unless you're signed in and choose to save history.

3. Third parties we use

• Open-Meteo — free geocoding, to turn a place name into coordinates and a time zone. We send only the place text you type; see open-meteo.com for their terms.
• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (including Google/Apple OAuth and password reset emails).
• Google (Gemini) — DreamScribe entries you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the interpretation.
• Google / Apple — if you choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple," those providers authenticate you and share basic profile data with us per your settings with them.

4. Saved history (Plus)

If you're signed in on a Plus plan and save a compatibility check, we store the two people's labels, their Moon signs, and a short summary in our database, tied to your account, until you delete it or delete your account.

5. Cookies & local storage

We use essential cookies for signed-in sessions and browser local storage to remember whether you've used your free compatibility check on this device. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR in the EU/UK and CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can delete your account and all associated saved data at any time from Account → Delete account, or by emailing support@zodiacmoonmatch.online. Deletion is permanent and typically completes within 30 days.

7. Children's privacy

ZodiacMoonMatch is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EU), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Data retention

Free-check birth details are not retained on our servers beyond the session unless you save them via an account. Account data is retained until you delete your account. Billing records may be retained longer where required for tax and accounting purposes.

9. Security

We rely on Supabase and Stripe's security infrastructure (encryption in transit and at rest) and restrict access to production data to what's operationally necessary. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to notify signed-in users.
